The MDR-850 is a compact remote speaker microphone embedded with a GPS receiver. The MDR-850 is compatible with the MTP850. Though the talk group data base and GPS receiver, the MDR-850 can help the MTP850 to switch talk groups automatically. In tunnels or areas with no GPS coverage, the MDR-850 can automatically change the talk group as well by RSSI. The GPS time is available to display on the screen. The MDR-850 is designed with a rechargeable battery which can support at least 10 hours of normal operation. When the battery runs out power is drawn from the MTP850. Mini-USB port is designed for battery charging, external earphone and software upgrades. The MDR-850 is an excellent accessory of the MTP850. With the remote speaker microphone, the MTP850 is more user friendly.
